2026

Another year and another update. So where are we today. The world of radiology is evolving very quickly. There has been some political turmoil in the radiology world. ABOMR (the board certifying body) is no more. Instead, ACBOMR is the new certifying body now. So testing for board certification will be applied through this method.

The details as to why this change happened aren’t really that important as it was a huge challenge that threatened the entirety of the specialty. Today though, the certifying body is comprised of a strong team that understands it is in their benefit to work with graduates.

Now, where are we business wise? Well, omrd.com is doing well. Growth feels like it has slowed down, but there is still growth. In today’s financially challenging climate, I will take it as a win. In addition, my platform development is maturing and clients are loving the platform. About five years ago, I had some colleagues ask me to license my platform out. Something that has been in the works for a long time. I’m happy to say that I’m getting close. But since I am the only developer and I am always under a heavy case load… it has been difficult to just “get to it”. That being said, I have been doing a ton of work towards it and hoping to go into testing.

Let me know if a licensing model would be something that you find interesting.
