Part of my coursework is a class that discusses research methodology. Essentially, it is the art of writing research papers and conducting research. I have learned how to apply for grants, come up with a thesis and design a study. Interesting, even if ultimately research will not be my area of interest. At least I know how to critique research papers and understand some of the things they discuss. This class has kept me busier than any of my other classes. I suppose it is important to know, but the real challenges will come starting Fall semester. This is where several classes including physics, pathology, radiobiology and biostatistics will be taught. I believe I am about to become very busy.
